Roger Boher

Roger L. Boher, Sr., 87, of Shippensburg, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at home.

Born October 3, 1927 in Shippensburg. Roger was a son of C. Blanche Hock Boher Linn of Shippensburg and the late Roger S. Boher.

He retired from SKF Industries in Shippensburg and was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and the Shippensburg Senior Center. Roger enjoyed bowling, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, traveling with his wife and senior center group tours. He was a NASCAR fan and went to many races. Roger was member of the National Guard, the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 both in Shippensburg.

In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by two sons, Roger L. “Skip” (his wife Pam) Boher, Jr. of Towanda, and Bill (and his wife Donna) Grove of Newburg, two brothers, Robert Boher of California, and Larry Linn of Pittsburgh, ten grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife Ada R. Eckenrode Boher who died October 5, 1997, and two sons, Robert and Richard Boher.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Jim Rogers. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Tuesday morning one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
