Robert E. “Bob” Traylor, 67, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at his home.
Born Sunday, September 23, 1956 in Plainfield, NJ, he was a son of the late James E. and Gladys Kirkendall Traylor.
Bob was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Shippensburg Leasing as a mechanic with over 20 years of service.
He was a member and past Manager of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Shippensburg. He enjoyed hunting, all sorts of racing, and was an avid Las Vegas Raiders Fan.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah K. Whitfield Traylor whom he married January 18, 1986; two daughters, Jaime L. (Dustin) Keefer, Shippensburg, and Becky A. (Wayne) White, Newville; one son, Ryan M. Traylor, Shippensburg; two sisters, Brenda Nemeth Losacco, and Virginia Bichler, both of Nazareth, PA; six grandchildren, Anthony, Kara, Tristyn, Reghan, Robert, and Madison; one great-granddaughter, Ellie; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert James Traylor, who passed away May 24, 2007; one brother, James R. Traylor; and one sister, Cindy Myers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. George W. Heckard officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, in the funeral home.
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen following the service in the funeral home parking lot.
