Robert Joseph “Bob” Marcinowski, 82, formerly of Clearwater/Largo, FL, late of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Monday, September 14, 2020, at his home.
He was born on March 18, 1938, in Philadelphia, the son of the late Anthony and Genevieve (Walsh) Marcinowski. Bob married Kathryn Quinn on April 28, 1962 in Philadelphia. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2006.
Bob worked in the trucking industry for Clark Transfer for twenty-four years, retiring in 2002 as vice president. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2159, Largo FL, where he served as treasurer. In his free time Bob enjoyed playing golf, pool, and shuffleboard, which he became very good at. In their younger years, Bob and Kay always went on a nice group vacation with all of their close friends. He also collected stamps for over thirty years, amassing a very large collection.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Donna Blair and husband Thomas “Gene” of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Nicole Showaker and husband Shad of Newville, Kimberly Peiffer and husband Brian of Newville, and Michael Miley and wife Renee of Spring Hill, FL; and five great grandchildren, Logan Conklin, Colden Showaker, Aiden Peiffer, Andie Miller, and Charles Robert Miley.
In addition to his parents and spouse, Bob was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Ditro.
His funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
