Robert L. “Bob” Kyle, 82, of Holswart Drive, Shippensburg, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Village of Laurel Run.
Born Tuesday, October 26, 1929 in Newburg, he was the son of the late Joseph Kyle and Edna I. Hamilton.
Bob was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in October of 1976 as a mechanic. Bob was a member of Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 and a past member of the Senior Center all in Shippensburg. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed small engine repair.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Kay G. Coy Kyle of Shippensburg, three sister in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four half brothers, Donald, Ralph, Lester and William Singer.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Harold E. Yeager officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
