Robert Lee Forsythe

Robert Lee Forsythe, age 72 passed away Saturday, 28 December 2024 in Madison, Alabama. Robert is a son of the late Fred and Marguerite (Smith) Forsythe, of Shippensburg, Pa.

 Robert is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Cathy (Weaver) Forsythe of Madison, Alabama, daughters, Melissa Roy (JS) of West Virginia; Angela Decker (Steve) of North Carolina; Amy Tucker (Robert) of Alabama; his brothers, Larry and Calvin Forsythe; 8 Grandkids, 3 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Patsy Keefer and brother Freddy Forsythe.

 Robert graduated from Chambersburg Area High School in 1970. He proudly served in the US Army and supported numerous operations stateside and overseas. Upon his retirement from the US Army, he began his career as a Defense Contractor and continued his work with the military. Bob enjoyed his work as a soldier and an entrepreneur. Video computer games and science fiction movies were his favorite things to do.

 His funeral will be held 11 January 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, PA. Pastor Michael Gleason will officiate. Military honors will be conducted immediately following the service. Interment in the Spring Hill Cemetery will be private. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday morning at the funeral home.
