Robert Fink

Robert Lee Fink, Sr., 78, of Shippensburg, departed this life on Friday, December 8, 2017, at his home.

He was born on October 14, 1939, in Williamsport, MD, but raised in Chambersburg, a son of the late Lloyd T. and Lena M. Johnson Fink. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Mary Ann Fink on March 26, 1960, in Columbus, OH. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2010.

Robert worked for Boeing Aircraft for eleven years; PPG Industries for twenty years; the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department for eleven years; the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer for twenty-five years; and also was owner/operator of Satellite Sales and Service for twenty-eight years.

He was a life member of the Walnut Bottom Rod and Gun Club; past member of the Carlisle Management Club; a member of the South Newton Company 49 Volunteer Fire Department; a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223; a member of the Conservation Officers of Pennsylvania; a forty year board member (thirty-five as president) of the Southern Cumberland Water Association; a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #76; and a member of the Cumberland Star Lodge #197 F. & A.M.

Robert is survived by three sons, Jeffrey A. (Eileen) Fink, Sr., of Conway, SC, Robert L. Fink, Jr., of Shippensburg, and Rodney G. (Jennifer) Fink of Shippenbsurg; one daughter, Kimberly A. (Cheryl) Spaziani of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Fink, Jr., of Fredericksburg, VA, Kelly A. (Brittney) Jones of Fredericksburg, VA, Sarah G. Fink of Shippensburg, and Riley A. Fink of Shippensburg; one great granddaughter, Shania R. Fink of Fredericksburg, VA; one brother, James Roy (Devona) Fink of Chambersburg; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Marian Conrad of Halifax.

His graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in the Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. Pastor Brian Medkeff-Rose will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tri-County FOP Lodge #76 P.O. Box 0 Blairs Mills, PA 17213-0915.
