Robert Orion Ehrhart, 90, of Orrstown, went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning December 16, 2018.
He was born Wednesday, August 22, 1928, in Saint Thomas, a son of the late George L. and Vallie Snurr Ehrhart.
Robert attended the Chambersburg High School with the class of 1946. He worked at Knouse Foods with four years of service. In 1950 he enlisted in the United States Army serving two years. He finished out his working career at Letterkenny Army Depot, working 31 years, retiring in 1985.
Robert attended the Ebenezer Church of God in Orrstown. He enjoyed his garden, and raising beef cattle.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gladys P. Myers Ehrhart, whom he married August 25, 1956; one daughter, Tina M. and husband Kirby Stouffer of Pleasant Hall; two sons, L. Joe Ehrhart of Doylesburg, and Samuel M. Ehrhart and wife Nabamita of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Dawn, Natasha, and Sohan; and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn and husband, Aden Wingert, and Marcina and husband, Richard Wright; one sister-in-law, Mary Ehrhart; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; three sisters; four brothers in-law; three sisters in-law; and one grandson, Casey Ehrhart.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. Daniel Reed, and Rev. Timothy Bash officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post # 223 Minuteman. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Remembrance Chapel, and one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
