Robert Eugene “Bob” Diehl, 74, of Newburg, passed away the morning of Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his home.
He was born on Monday, April 5, 1948 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Jay and Mary (Dyarman) Diehl.
Bob was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God. He was an avid hunter and was a life member of the Shippensburg Fish & Game, North American Hunters Club, and the NRA. Bob was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Carole J. (Stake) Diehl of Newburg; one sister, Barbara Ann (Charles) Stine of Shippensburg; one nephew, Jeffrey Stine of Chambersburg; and two great-nephews, Nicholas and Kyle Stine.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg with Pastor Gary Hornbaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery with Military Honors. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
