Richard L. Rotz, 86, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at home.
He was born April 16, 1931, in Chambersburg, PA. Richard was a son of the late Lester and Mildred Martin Rotz.
He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church, Chambersburg. Richard retired from SKF Industries where he was a Machinist. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Peters Rotz; one son, Stephen Rotz of Shippensburg; one brother, David L. Rotz of Waterloo, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Rotz; and two sisters, Shirley Rosenberry and Linda Nickey.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the New Testament Baptist Church, Chambersburg, with military honors to follow. Officiating will be Pastor Marlin Fleck. A private burial will be held in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the New Testament Baptist Church, 5444 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
