Richard Laughlin

Richard H. “Cheeseburger” Laughlin II, 55, of Newburg, passed away the morning of Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

He was born on November 7, 1967 in Chambersburg, the son of Rachel M. (Junkins) Laughlin and the late Richard H. Laughlin.

Richard was a 1985 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He was a member of the Newburg Hopewell Fire Company, where he volunteered as fire police. Richard loved to bowl, hunt, and fish. He enjoyed umpiring girls travel league softball and was previously active in the Shippensburg Area Little League. Richard also enjoyed vacations to Chincoteague and trips to the family cabin in Huntingdon County.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children, Richard H. Laughlin III of Newburg, and Erin E. Warner of Fayetteville.

A time of visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. There will be no service following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doey’s House, Hospice of Washington County, 11370 Caring Pathway Ln., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to the Newburg Hopewell Fire Company, 121 Lovers Ln., Newburg, PA 17240.
