Richard M. Hench, 81, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Saturday, July 6, 1935 in Loysville, PA, he was a son of the late Dewey M. and Della M. Cope Hench.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the Bloserville God’s Missionary Church. Richard was a lifelong farmer and truck driver.
Surviving is his wife of 56+ years, Idella Irene Dupert Hench, two daughters; Christina M. (husband Barry) Hoffman and Lawenda L. (husband Jeff) Dupy, both of Shippensburg, two sons; Anthony W. (wife Christine) Hench of Carlisle and John M. Hench, of Newville, two sisters; Annabell Dupert and Bonnie Hench, three brothers; David Lee, Carl and Keith Hench, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium with the Rev. Kenneth Gordon and Rev. Marlin Stahl officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, in the funeral home.
