Revenna Cedel (Eckenrode) Barrick

Revenna Cedel (Eckenrode) Barrick, 78, of Carlisle, passed away the evening of Monday, February 24, 2025 at the UPMC West Shore Hospital after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

She was born on May 23, 1946 in Carlisle, to the late Charles Eckenrode and late Mary (Goodhart) Warner.

Revenna was a member of the Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church in Newville. She loved her church family very much and appreciated their prayers. 

Family was important to Revenna. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They brought her so much joy and laughter. 

Revenna is survived by two children, Jennifer Hamilton and husband Roger of Newville, and Christopher Barrick and wife Marianne of Newville; five grandchildren, Shane Hamilton and companion Amanda Yocum of Carlisle, Craig Hamilton and companion Gabby Weller of Newville, Joshua Barrick and wife Jordyn of Carlisle, Rachel Price and husband Cory of Georgia, and Dakota Barrick of Newville; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Dexter Eckenrode and wife Julia of Newville; one stepbrother, Ronald Warner of Boiling Springs; companion, Galen Byers of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Revenna was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy and Zane Eckenrode; one aunt, Reba Stum; two uncles, Dale Goodhart and Homer (Jim) Goodhart; several nieces and great-nephews; and two great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, 720 Green Spring Road, Newville, PA 17241. Pastor Ralph Fisher will officiate. A viewing will be held two hours prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be private. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.
