Rev. Raymond LeRoy Eberly, Jr., 78, of Chambersburg passed away the evening of Friday, November 20, 2020 at Brookview Menno Haven.
He was born Sunday, June 21, 1942 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Raymond Leroy and Rhoda (Hawbaker) Eberly, Sr.
Rev. Eberly was a pastor at Palm Valley BIC in Pharr, TX as well as Air Hill and Blue Mountain Brethren in Christ Church. He retired with 32 years of service in missionary to Latin America.
He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Eberly; two daughters, Melissa (Steve) Mitchell of Waynesboro, and Lisa Westfall of Chambersburg, three brothers, Ronald Eberly, Robert Eberly, and Larry Eberly; one sister, Shirley Eberly; six grandchildren, Danial, Sarah, Jessica, Ben, Katie and Janae; and one great-granddaughter, Laken Paige.
LeRoy loved collecting tractors and antique toy cars and trucks. In his late years he enjoyed bird watching. He loved basketball and his favorite team was the Lakers. His favorite times were spent with his horse in Texas.
There will be no public viewing or funeral service at this time. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Leroy will be laid to rest in the Air Hill Cemetery.
