Reba Lois (Ramsey) Campbell, 84 years young, of Shippensburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born November 28, 1927 in Fort Littleton, Fulton County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Clara (Reihart) Ramsey.
Reba was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church and The Kings, Sons, and Daughters Sunday School Class. She was a 1945 graduate of Saltillo High School.
Reba was employed for over 25 years at Tracy Fashions in Chambersburg; and also spent many hours working with her family in the packing house at Harvies’ Orchard. After retiring from Tracy Fashions, she worked for the Tupperware Warehouse, Fayetteville.
Reba previously resided on Hafer Road, Fayetteville where she grew lovely roses and a beautiful garden. Another hobby she enjoyed was, quilting. She quilted with the ladies at the Chambersburg Senior Center, and won ribbons at the Shippensburg Fair for some of her prize quilts; she also made many baby quilts for local charities.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Junior L. Campbell, three daughters, Sharon M. Horne and her husband Fred of Hustontown, Debra D. Seilhamer and her husband Gerald of Hanover, and Barbara L. Ramsey and her husband Tom of Three Springs, six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, a brother Roger Ramsey and his wife Pat, and a sister, Althea Stains all of Maddensville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother Jay Ramsey, a brother Thurman Ramsey and a sister, Nettie Locke.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Garry L. Culler officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. prior to the services at Church. A second viewing will take place in the Walnut Grove Church of God in Maddensville Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. with graveside services in the church cemetery following the viewing. The Rev. John Hodge will officiate at the graveside service.
