Ray E. Cressler, 58, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Thursday, September 7, 2023 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on Sunday, May 9, 1965 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Ronald E. and Geraldine B. (Bauserman) Cressler.
Ray was a 1983 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. In his earlier years, he enjoyed going camping. Ray was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and had a passion for riding motorcycles, participating in countless benefit rides. He loved going on cruises with his wife, Brenda and enjoyed mowing grass. Above all else, Ray loved and cherished time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Stephen E. Cressler of Shippensburg; one brother, Ronald L. (Kimberly) Cressler of Shippensburg; one sister, Debbie A. (Roger) Chestnut of Shippensburg; two nephews, Levi J. (Natasha) Cressler and Travis A. Chestnut; two nieces, Kara A. Chestnut and Kaitlyn M. (Zak) Chestnut-Hanna; and two great-nieces, Sadie and Zoe Cressler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda L. (Hamilton) Cressler, who passed away on June 2, 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor George Heckard officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
