Ray W. Brown, 89, of Shippensburg, died Monday, January 7, 2013 in the emergency room of the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born October 6, 1923 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late David and Nan Finkey Brown.
Ray was a self employed auto mechanic and a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Prince Street United Brethren Church in Shippensburg. Ray was a 1941 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School.
In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice S. “Sis” Frey Brown who died July 27, 1990. A son Ray W. Brown and one brother and one sister are also deceased.
He is survived by his daughter, Nan M. Hancock and her husband Terry, and a granddaughter, Katelyn Hancock all of Shippensburg.
Services will be private.
