Raul Barbeito

Raul Barbeito, 92, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Thursday, March 26, 1931 in Spain, he was a son of the late Ramon and Marie Marta Barbeito.
Raul was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from John F. Kindergan in New Jersey as a Brick Mason.
He was a member of the Christ Covenant Church, a life member of the International Union of Brick Layers and Allied Craft workers. He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Shippensburg.
He is survived by one son, Pastor Raymond (Kimberly) Barbeito, Newburg; one daughter, Teresa (Bill) Simchera, Hendersonville, NC; three grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Diaz Barbeito who passed away September 27, 2021; three sisters; and one brother.
Graveside services with full Military Honors will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. in the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with Pastor Raymond Barbeito officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
