Randy Lee Hershey

Randy L. Hershey, 65, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at his home.

Born Tuesday, August 18, 1959 in York, PA., he was the son of the late Clyde P. and Janet L. Bentzel Hershey, Jr.

Randy was a graduate of Northern York County School District. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Franklintown, PA. 

He was a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, the Shippensburg Fish & Game Club, and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223. Randy enjoyed hunting and buying and selling hunting and fishing related items at local auctions. Randy was an avid all around sports fan including baseball, football, and any type of racing, especially dirt track racing at the Williams Grove speed way.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, BarbaraSue A. Williams Hershey, whom he married October 10, 2009, Shippensburg; one step-daughter, Chelsea L. (Kevin) Fleer, Lewisberry; one grandson, Luke D. Fleer, Lewisberry; his mother and father in-law, Edna and Lloyd Williams, Jr., Chambersburg; and his best friend Heidi his Weimaraner.

Randy was greatly loved by all that knew him, especially his loving wife and family, and will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Bruce Levy officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
