Randy Heckman

Randy E. Heckman, 66, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born on July 18, 1956 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Charles W. and Zula E. (Lynch) Heckman, Sr.

Randy was a 1976 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He was a member of the Hub City Club and Minnequa Social Club, both of Shippensburg, and the VFW Post #1599 and Knights of Columbus, both of Chambersburg. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time at his cabin in Horse Valley. He also loved and cherished spending time with his grandchildren, Kristina and Kaden.

He is survived by seven siblings, John E. (Rita) Heckman, Debra F. (Allen) Strausner, Darryl L. (Debbie) Heckman, Charles W. (Melody) Heckman, Jr., Jeffrey A. Heckman, Tammy R. (Ed) Reese, and Anthony W. “Tony” Heckman; two grandchildren, Kristina Heckman and Kaden Stonecipher; his former spouse who he remained close friends with, Diane P. Talhelm; and his dog and cat, Myles and Booger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsea D. Heckman.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or service at this time. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date and time.
