Randy Lynn Burke, 45, of Harrisburg, died unexpectedly on July 27, 2011, at Health Central Hospital, Orlando, FL.
Born on February 17, 1966, in Chambersburg, a son of Jack T. Burke, Sr. and the late Sarah “Teen” Nocho Murphy. He attended schools in the Harrisburg public school system.
Randy, a beloved father, enjoyed bowling and playing darts. He had an infectious sense of humor, known fondly for his practical jokes and gift of creating nicknames. He was employed as a general contractor.
Randy is survived by a large family who will cherish their memories with him, including his companion of 27 years, Mellisa “Lisa” Parker of Harrisburg; his sons, Brandon Burke of Harrisburg and Ryan Burke of Orlando; his daughter, Ciara Burke of Orlando; father, Jack Burke, Sr. of Harrisburg; step-father, Ernest Murphy of Harrisburg; one sister, Traci Burke of Harrisburg; three brothers and their spouses, Gregory and Donna Burke of El Dorado Hills, CA, Jack “Ted” and Diana Burke of Harrisburg, and Lance and Tenisha Burke of York; sister-in-fellowship, Danielle Jones; two brothers-in-fellowship, Troy Baltimore of Shippensburg and Henry Wright of Harrisburg; and many other treasured relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc. 112 West King Street, Shippensburg. Elder Inez Nocho will officiate. Interment will be held privately in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Shippensburg. There will be no viewing, however a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, at the funeral home.
