Ralph K. Kirby, 86, of Shippensburg passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 with his loving family at his side.
He was born March 24, 1932 in Shippensburg, Franklin County. Ralph was a son of the late Sebert H. and Dolly R. Whorley Kirby.
He was the owner and operator of Ralph Kirby Plumbing and Heating. Ralph was a member of the Mainsville United Brethren Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary S. Doyle Kirby who passed away January 17, 2012.
He is survived by two daughters, Connie A. Wadel and her husband Ronald, Sr. of Shippensburg, and Kellie Jo Peters and her husband Michael of Elizabethtown, PA; three grandchildren, Ronald A. Wadel, Jr. of Lake Tahoe, CA, Mark Kenneth Wadel of Hagerstown, MD, and Mackenzie Peters of Elizabethtown, PA; four brothers, Floyd, John, George and David Kirby, all of Shippensburg; two sisters, Dolly Oyler of Chambersburg and Bonnie Parson of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Robert Mentzer. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
