Ralph Clark Hock, 92 of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at his home.
He was born on July 5, 1929, in Shippensburg, a son of the late Eber and Rhoda (Wengert) Hock, and graduated from the Messiah Academy in Grantham, PA. Ralph married Lois Davis on May 15, 1954. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Earlier in life, Ralph was self-employed as a dairy farmer. He later worked driving dairy route supply trucks for Agway and DeLaval. After retiring from the ministry, he worked at the local Weis Market (Cresslers).
He was a very active member of the Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church, Newburg. Ralph served in many capacities over the years: deacon, treasurer, gym teacher, and coach to name a few. He was always very open and available to the church youth and acted as a positive role model and mentor.
Ralph was known to be very competitive in just about anything sports related. He enjoyed horseshoes, ping pong, basketball, and softball. He was also a PIAA Official and a Pennsylvania Senior Games horseshoe state champion.
Ralph is survived by his wife of twenty seven years, Sylvia M. (Musser) Hock, whom he married on July 30, 1994; three sons, Douglas E. Hock and wife Kathy of Shippensburg, Randall L. Hock and wife Loriann of Carlisle, Lyle R.
