Ralph Gontz, Sr.

Ralph R. Gontz, Sr., 79, of Shippensburg, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born on December 2, 1930, in Shippensburg, a son of the late Jacob and Alverna Myers Gontz.
Ralph was a United States Army veteran, enlisting on March 22, 1950 and honorably discharged on April 1, 1953.
Ralph worked at SKF, in Shippensburg, for over thirty years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168, Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Reed Gontz; two daughters, Charlotte (Eugene) Markel of Mechanicsburg and Betty (Eugene) Miller of Dover; one son, Ralph R. Gontz, Jr. of Shippensburg; three granddaughters; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Fitz of Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services, at the funeral home, on Monday.
