R. Naugle

R. Scott Naugle, 62 of Harrisburg, departed this life on the morning of Friday, January 13, 2017, at his home.

He was born on August 27, 1954, in Chambersburg, the son of the late R. Jack Naugle and Jeanne D. Meredith Naugle. Scott was a 1972 graduate of Shippensburg High School and a 1976 graduate of Shippensburg University, earning a degree in Business Administration. He married Diane J. Prutzer on June 9, 1979, in Greenlane, Pennsylvania.

Scott was employed as a Transportation Specialist at the former AMP, now T.E. Connectivity, of Harrisburg, since 1981. He was a member of the “AMP Nimrods,” a company based hunting and fishing club; the Hershey Italian Lodge where he enjoyed competing in their Bocce League; and was a charter member of the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. Scott was an avid baseball fan - any game, any team - it didn’t matter, Scott just loved the game itself. He also loved to run, participating in many races. Family was very important to Scott, any time spent with his family was special.

In addition to his mother, Jeanne, he is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Diane; his daughter Casey N. Estanislao and husband Lyle of Nashville, TN; and a son, Samuel L. Naugle of Harrisburg. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and one son, Louis Jack Naugle.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, Harrisburg. The Rev. Richard Geib will officiate. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, reconvening at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday morning. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with Scott’s funeral arrangements.
