Phyllis A. Minor, 84, of Shippensburg passed away at Green Ridge Village Nursing Home at 7:35pm on August 2, 2024 after being on hospice at her home.
Born on April 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John and Cora (Holtry) Baughman. She was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area High School class of 1958.
Phyllis worked at the former Hoffman Mills, Shippensburg, for a short period of time. Afterwards, she was the owner of Baughman’s Trophy Shop for numerous years. She enjoyed making trophies for our community.
Phyllis enjoyed playing bingo, scratching off lottery tickets, gardening, and spending time with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed coloring and completing word searches.
Phyllis is survived by one daughter who she loved more than anything in this world, Teresa A. Lehman and her husband Dennis of Shippensburg; two granddaughters Alisha Todd, husband Steve of Shippensburg, and Kendra Wiser, husband Nathan, of Shippensburg; four great-grandchildren Alaina, Keely, Brea, and Maci; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother, John (Buddy) Baughman, and two sisters, Darlene Wyrick and Martha Reed.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Chaplin Tim Brown will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
