Phyllis J. Douglas, 85, of Shippensburg, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born Sunday, June 17, 1928 in Orrstown, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Paul Martin and Dorothy Naomi Baker Staver.
Phyllis attended the Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg. She retired as a seamstress from both L’Aiglon and Towne Cleaners in Shippensburg.
Phyllis will be sadly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Douglas who died June 15, 2003, a great grandson, Aiden Lee Peters who died in 2008 and a brother Paul Galen Staver who died in 2013.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey R. Douglas and his wife Karen of Greencastle, two daughters, Vickie L. Gallas and her husband John of Mechanicsburg, Christine A. Getz of Shippensburg, three sisters, Virginia Fry, Evelyn Fuller and Dorothy Jean Bughman all of Shippensburg, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. James Sanger officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
