Pete L. Tsambiras, 51, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born September 22, 1958 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Leonidas E. and Demetra L. Papadakos Tsambiras.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill and was an employee at Shippensburg University. Pete was a member of the Burt J. Apser American Legion Post # 46 and the AMVETS Post # 224 both in Chambersburg.
He is survived by his fiance’, Ruthanna Mae Miller of Chambersburg, one brother, Evaggelos L. Tsambiras and his wife Carol, two nephews; Daniel H.L. Tsambiras and his wife Stevie, and John A. Tsambiras and his wife Emily, and a great nephew, Cooper M. Tsambiras all of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 2, 2010 in St. Mary Orthodox Church, Chambersburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Father Yanni Verginis. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery. The viewing will be Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg with a Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m.
