Peggy Ann Myers, 79, of Shippensburg, died on the morning of Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on November 8, 1933, in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Edgar V. and Ethel M. Vandrew Latsbaugh. Peggy was a 1952 graduate of Shippensburg High School and shortly thereafter, married Mr. John M. Myers on May 16, 1954, in the Shippensburg First Church of God. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1996.
Peggy was a longtime employee of the former Tropical Treat, Shippensburg, where she worked for sixteen years, retiring in 2009.
She attended the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church and was a member of the First Court Chapter #470 Order of the Eastern Star, Shippensburg. Peggy was an excellent musician, who loved to play her piano and enjoyed spending time with her close circle of friends.
Peggy is survived by her brother, Lee H. (Pamelia) Latsbaugh of Chambersburg; one niece, Kimberly P. (Charles) Baker of Chambersburg; one nephew, Timothy L. (Karen) Latsbaugh and their daughter, great niece, Eliza, of Charleston, SC.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Kimberley D. Wadlington will officiate. Viewing will be private. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church at 135 Middle Spring Rd. Shippensburg, PA 17257.
