Pauline Reed

Pauline E. Reed, 90, of Shippensburg, died Friday, February 24, 2012 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born Monday, December 12, 1921 in Southampton Township, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Sollenberger Brake.
She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Shippensburg. Pauline was a sales clerk at the former Valley Baking Company in Shippensburg. She loved babysitting her grandchildren, shopping, and baking pies and cakes.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Levi W. Reed who died June 6, 2001. She also was preceded in death by a son, Gerald S. Reed, two brothers, Harold W. and Donald R. Brake, and two sisters, Mildred Gettel and Irma Loskill.
Pauline is survived by two daughters, Peggie L. Crouse and her husband Roy E. of Newburg, and Wendy S. Hammaker and her husband Todd W. of Shippensburg, two sons, Richard W. Reed and his wife Karen of Niceville, FL., and Robert S. Reed and his wife Paula M. of Shippensburg, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Messiah United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Kevin E. Hughes and The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton. Burial will be in Pleasant Hall Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday.
