Paul Fraker

P. Larry Fraker, 79, of Orrstown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from his home.

Born Sunday, July 1, 1934 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Paul W. and Mildred B. Oller Fraker.

Larry was a United States Army Reserves Veteran. He was a member of the Upper Strasburg Church of God. He was owner and operator of Fraker’s Garage and Auto Body Shop in Pleasant Hall and P. Larry’s Auto Sales in Chambersburg. He worked for Frank Gayman Chevrolet and Good Year Tire and Auto, both in Chambersburg. Larry retired from PADE Auto Auction in York as an Arbitrator.

Larry served as Treasurer of PIADA from 1991 until 1996 and Director from 1995 until 1997. He was a member of the AMVETS in Chambersburg, Upper Strasburg Senior Center and served on the Board for Greene Township.

He is survived by his wife of three years, Darlene F. Patterson Fraker, seven daughters, Vickie Spidel and husband Jeffrey of St. Thomas, Renee Fleck and husband Mark of Chambersburg, Wanda McCarney and husband Terry of Shippensburg, Michelle Salmon and husband Greg of Orrstown, Sheila Updegraff and husband Steve, Kelly Stevick and husband Keith and Chastity Fraker all of Chambersburg, one son Shawn Fraker of Shippensburg, two sisters, Barbara Stallman of Chambersburg and Gloria McClain of Florida, one brother, Dr. Ted Fraker of Maryland, 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Ann Gayman Fraker and second wife, Dorothy Shubert Fraker.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Upper Strasburg Church of God with the Rev. LeRoy W. Wiley and Mr. Carl L. Spidel officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg, and one hour prior to the service in the Church on Monday.
