Patsy B. Myers, 73, a resident at the Shippensburg Health Care Center and former resident at Manor Care in Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Prior to her numerous illnesses, her home was on Dead End Lane, Shippensburg.
Born Tuesday, September 2, 1941 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest E. and Ida M. Peckman Maley.
Patsy was a graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School as a straight A Scholar. Upon graduation she worked as a GS3 Stenographer for the Department of Transportation. Later in life after her marriage to Addison F. Kreamer II and two sons, Patsy worked at the Carlisle Courthouse as a Secretary for the recorder of deeds and wills, and for the former CV Cooperative in Shippensburg. She also held jobs at the former High’s Dairy and Mr. B’s Convenience Store’s both in Shippensburg.
Her great love and compassion for animals inspired her to fight through all her illnesses. She enjoyed watching QVC, reading and baseball games, particularly the New York Yankees.
She is survived by two sons, Addison F. (Renea) Kreamer, III of Shippensburg and Michael A. Kreamer, Sr. of Newville, her sister and caregiver, Linda J. (Ray D.) Fohringer of Newville, one brother, John F. Maley of Shippensburg, one step daughter, Janel (John T. II) Schwanger, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great grandson, one great granddaughter, one step grandson, three step great grandchildren, one niece and her beloved cat Tuffy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry R. Myers, Sr. and a stepson, Jerry R. Myers, Jr.
A private graveside service will be held in Westminster Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
