Patsy Ruth Coy, 76, of Fayetteville, departed this life on the afternoon of Friday, January 22, 2016.
She was born on September 5, 1939, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Melvin H. and Ruth Baer Varner and attended the Shippensburg Area High School and Wilson College.
Patsy was employed as a seamstress at the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg, for twenty years and also worked at the former G.S. Electric for a period of time. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latterday Saints, Chambersburg and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Herbert E. Coy; three children, Keith (Lucinda) Coy of York, Kathy Divens of Wake Forest, NC, and Tina Bricker of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Coy, Andy (Jami) Coy, Anya (Benjamin) Coy-Wilson, Lindsey (Jason) Lauver, Matthew (Kayla) Bricker, and Benjamin Bricker; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Varner of Boiling Springs and Earl Varner of Shippensburg; one sister, Mary Jane Wagner of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by one son, Steven Coy; three brothers; and one sister.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Her son, Elder Keith Coy, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
