Patsy Louise Bricker, 67, of Shippensburg, died on the afternoon of Friday, June 6, 2014, at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 21, 1946, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Dorothy Adeline Oller Coy. Patsy married Leroy T. Bricker on February 9, 1964, at the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren.
Earlier in life, Patsy was a cook and manager at the former Pharo’s Truck Stop, Shippensburg, and also the Flying J Truck Stop, Carlisle. Eventually, she then started working at Cresslers Marketplace as the manager of the seafood department, retiring around 2002.
She was a member of Mountain Top Ministries, Ortanna. Patsy liked to craft and sew, making things like jewelry, hand bags, and bean bags for children in Africa. She was a big fan of the Washington Redskins, liked to work on the computer, and attend family get-togethers. One of her favorite past-times was just being outside, sitting on the back porch of her house, watching the birds and talking about old times with her husband and many other family members.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leroy T. Bricker; four children, Christeena Lee Thomas of Shippensburg, Debbie Sue (Gerald) Murr of Newburg, Mark Allen (Kim) Bricker of Newburg, and Leroy Charles (Melinda) Bricker of Enola; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Bill Coy; and one sister, Shirley Shields.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastors Ken Reid and Ron Parr will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
