Patricia A. Romig

Patricia A. Romig, 86, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, April 12, 2025.

She was born on February 25, 1939, in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Kitzmiller) Parks.

Earlier in life, Pat was a homemaker as she raised her family. She then went to work at the post office in Orrstown for many years, as well as Staples in Chambersburg, from where she retired.

Pat was a longtime, active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Orrstown, serving in many capacities over the years. She enjoyed playing games and laughing with her family; dominoes, jigsaw puzzles, and taking goofy photos. It was known that Pat could be pretty ornery at times and was always up for having some kind of crazy fun.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Walters and husband Brian of Seymour, IN; four grandchildren, Kaleb Walters of Hartford, CT, Erin Walters of Seymour, IN, and Brandon and Ryan Mouery of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Romig.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Orrstown. The Rev. William DeHass will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday afternoon at the church.
