Patricia A. Moats, 62, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at home.
She was born July 22, 1952 in Chambersburg. Patricia was a daughter of the late David L. and Charlotte A. Cramer Stouffer and step-mother Bertha R. Gilbert Stouffer.
She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, Shippensburg. Patricia was formerly employed for over 30 years a Hoffman Mills in Shippensburg and most recently worked for over six years at AdvantEdge Health Care Solutions in Chambersburg.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing softball in the area adult leagues. Patricia was inducted into the Harrisburg Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She was the first women in the area to achieve an average of 200. Patricia was a former coach for Shippensburg Little League Softball.
She is survived by her husband Floyd R. “Chub” Moats, five children, Brenton L. (wife Michele) Moats of Olympia, WA, Stacey N. (husband Andrew) Parson of Shade Gap, Stephen (wife Kim) Moats of Texas, Joel (wife Danielle) of Shippensburg, and Gregory (wife Jen) Moats of Chambersburg, eight grandchildren, two brothers, Edward L. Stouffer of Marshall, VA, and Harold R. Stouffer of Shippensburg, three sisters, Peggy Kirby and Cheryl Burke both of Shippensburg, and Donna Marino of Sedalia, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a sister Charlotte “Peach” Kunkleman.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg with The Rev. John Inglin officiating. Burial will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
