Patricia A. Hawbaker, 63, a resident of Manor Care, Chambersburg, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1951 in Findleyville, Bedford County. Patricia was a daughter of the late Shannon and Grace Everhart Hedge.
Years ago she worked at the Falling Spring Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as a Nurses Aid. Patricia was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of both the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 and the Fort Loudon American Post.
She is survived by a companion, Jimmy Wood of Dry Run, three sisters, Lucretia Defibaugh of Chambersburg, Doris Dunmire, and Mary Thomas both of Shippensburg, two brothers, Herbert Hedge of Hustontown, and Harry Hedge of Shippensburg, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Laban Hawbaker who died December 1, 1997. One brother, Robert Hedge, and two sisters, Winifred Hedge, and Myra Yingling are also deceased.
Memorial services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 3 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Robert L. Mentzer. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
