Patricia Ann “Pat” Deutsch, 82, of Newburg, passed away the morning of Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her daughter’s home.
Born Wednesday, September 4, 1940 in Walnut Bottom, she was a daughter of the late Glen R. and Thelma M. Bowers Stouffer.
Pat was a 1959 graduate of Big Spring High School. She worked as a Computer Operator for Richard’s Textiles, and after moving to Florida, she worked in the Human Resource and Payroll Departments for Florida Crushed Stone.
She was a member of the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church. She served on the Newburg Borough Council in the mid 2000s, and organized fundraisers for the American Cancer Society while living in Florida.
Pat is survived by one daughter, Deborah D. (Darrell) Barnhart, Newburg; one grandson, Nathan Douglas (Heather) Barnhart, Shippensburg; two brothers, Ret. Col. Samuel (Linda) Stouffer, Carlisle, and Paul “Ed” (Joan) Stouffer, Newville; two sisters-in-law, Gerry Stouffer, Newville, and Rita Deutsch, Mt. Holly Springs; three brothers-in-law, Ray (Mary Lou) Deutsch, Shippensburg, Donald (Janet) Deutsch, Walnut Bottom, and Charlie (Nancy) Deutsch, Lititz; numerous nieces and nephews; and two grand dogs, Benji and Lizzy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Deutsch, who passed away June 10, 2015; one brother, Glen “Ron” Stouffer; and one brother in-law, Barry Deutsch.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Ed Blank officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
