Pamela K. Martin, 63, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011, at her home.
She was born on October 11, 1948, in Pond Bank, a daughter of George R. Wagaman, Sr. and the late Ruth N. McNew Wagaman. Pamela was a 1967 graduate of Chambersburg Area High School and on March 15, 1969, she married Mr. Rodney L. Martin in the Pond Bank Mennonite Church.
Pamela attended World Harvest Outreach, Chambersburg. Her life was spent enjoying fellowship with people, camping trips with her family, and liked to cook for all types of church and family functions. Her joy was her grandchildren and she loved working along-side her husband at their business, Pinola Mulch, and their family farm.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Rodney; her daughter, Dawn L. (Mark) Durniak of Greencastle; her son, Brian L. (Tina) Martin of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Madison, Meghan, and Anderson Durniak and Alexis, Logan, Zachary, and Macy Martin; three sisters, Mary L. Golden of Chambersburg, Donna M. (Robert) Yeager of Fannettsburg, and Judith D. (Ronald) Garner of Chambersburg; two brothers, George R. (Rebecca) Wagaman, Jr. of Melbourne, FL and Timothy J. (Cecilia) Wagaman of Valdosta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pamela’s family would like to honor a special friend, Mrs. Jean Rosenberry of Shippensburg, who generously donated a kidney to Pamela on July 18, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at World Harvest Outreach, Chambersburg. Pastor Mark S. Durniak and Pastor Wayne L. Kuhns will officiate. Private interment will follow in the Old Rowe Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at World Harvest Outreach, located at 1090 Wayne Avenue Chambersburg, PA 17201.
