Pamela Ann Hawbaker, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, with her sister Patricia at her bedside, June 18, 2020 at UPMC Carlisle.
Born Sunday, July 21, 1946 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Margaret E. Wiberg Maxwell, Sr.
Pamela was a 1965 graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School. She was of the Methodist Faith.
Pam retired as an Optician from the former Allegany Optical. She loved and cherished animals and loved to rescue all animals.
She is survived by her companion, Larry S. Hinkle, Carlisle; one daughter, Heather A. Hawbaker, Albuquerque, NM; two grandsons, Thaddeus and Xavier Miller, York; twin sister, Patricia L. (Ronald) McGee, Concord; four nieces, four great nieces, three great nephews, and two great-great nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dean D. Hawbaker, who passed away March 17, 1995; one brother, Charles W. Maxwell, Jr.; and one niece Stacy McGee.
A private graveside service will be held in Welsh Run Brethren Church Cemetery with the Rev. Marlin A. “Butch: Neil officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite No Kill animal shelter.
