Nicholas E. Hockenberry, 46, of Chambersburg, departed this life on the evening of Friday, July 26, 2024, at the WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on June 9, 1978, in Chambersburg, the son of Lewis E. Sites and the late Pamela E. (Rotz) Sites.
Nicholas worked as a forklift driver at the Ulta distribution warehouse for the past three years. In his free time he enjoyed disk golf, sports memorabilia, and other collectables. Nicholas was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Guardians, and also liked watching WWE.
In addition to his step-father, Lewis, he is survived by two sisters, Kristin M. Thornton and husband Mike and Amanda J. Burkett and husband Glenn, all of Chambersburg; and nieces and nephews, Kamron, Kellen, Kashtin, and Karra Thornton and Makenzie Peters.
In addition to his mother, Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandparents.
His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor John Starr will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
