Nancy Esh Yoder, 85, of Newburg, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at her home.
She was born on October 28, 1934, in New Wilmington, Lawrence Co., Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Daniel and Katherine Byler.
Nancy was a homemaker throughout her life, but she also spent some time working outside the home, as a caregiver.
Nancy raised eight children, Daniel (deceased) and wife Anna Mary of Newburg, PA; Susan and husband John Lapp of Great Falls, Montana; John and wife Martha Esh of Newburg, PA; Katie and husband Raymond Fisher of Lewistown, Montana; Emanuel and Naomi Esh of Newburg, PA; Linda and Steve Smoker of Newburg, PA; Maryann and Melvin Glick of Narvon, PA; and Isaac and wife Miriam Esh of East Earl, PA. Additionally, she is survived by 55 grandchildren; 105 great grandchildren; one brother Emanuel and wife Katie Byler; two sisters, Sally Byler and husband Dan Hostetler and Sarah; and a brother-in-law, Jonathan Yoder.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Isaac F. Esh; her second husband, Urie D. Yoder; one son, Daniel Esh; one brother, William Byler; and three sisters, Lizzie Wengerd, Melinda Yoder, and Mary Byler.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at her grandson’s residence, at 380 Shady Road Newburg, PA 17240. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Amish Cemetery. Viewing will be from the time of this notice until the morning of her funeral service at the place of her residence, at 360 Shady Road Newburg, PA 17240.
