Nancy L. Wing, 73 of 4526 McClays Mill Road, Shippensburg, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in the Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born April 17, 1937 in Coudersport, PA, she was a daughter of the late Curtis M., Sr. and Iva A. Barrett Butler.
Years ago she was a cook at the Toll Gate Restaurant, Minnequa Social Club, American Legion, and the Cub at Shippensburg University. She also worked at the Greif Company. Nancy attended Lurgan United Brethren Church and was a 1954 graduate of Canaseraga High School, NY. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of both the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd O. Wing, Sr. who died November 27, 2001, three brothers, two sisters, two sons, 2 step grandsons and one great granddaughter.
She is survived by three sons; Paul L. Wing and Michael C. Wing of Upper Strasburg, and Floyd O. Wing, Jr. and his wife Freda of Dalton, NY, three daughters; Barbara D. Hoch and her husband Richard of Shippensburg, Marylou Williams and her husband Harry, II of Newville, and Peggy A. Wing and her companion Mark Franzoni of Chambersburg, one brother, Donald Butler of Canaseraga, NY, two sisters; Becky Reed of Shippensburg and Peg Fogle of Canaseraga, NY, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Richard E. Mose. Burial will be held Monday in New York in the Canaseraga Cemetery. The viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
