Nancy Richardson

Nancy L. Richardson, 77, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Orrstown Personal Care Home.

Born Tuesday, September 24, 1946 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert S. and Esther F. Swope Walter.

Nancy was a 1964 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She retired in September of 2008 from Richardson’s Floor and Wall after 30 years of service.
She was a member of the Messiah United Methodist Church where she served on various Church committees.

Nancy loved spending time at Raystown Lake, camping, boating, and water skiing. She enjoyed hunting, and spending time at their cabin in Clearfield County.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerry V. Richardson, whom she married March 6, 1965; three sons, Mark R. (Rhonda) Richardson, Scott W. (Judy) Richardson, and Greg M. (Tara) Richardson, all of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Benjamin (Molly) Richardson, Paige (Denver) Cordell, Jordan Richardson, Peyton Richardson, Camryn Richardson, and Joshua Ott; two sisters, Martha Kling, Orrstown, and Bobbi Delaney, Shippensburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Walter, and one sister, Janet Deck.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg, with The Rev. Troy T. Howell officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.
