Nancy F. Reed, 88, a resident of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Saturday, November 12, 2016.
Born on February 21, 1928, in Winchester, VA, a daughter of the late Harry R. Bryant and Florence Bryant Stouffer. Nancy was the longtime companion of Mr. Donald Gensler. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Nancy was employed as a Library Assistant at the Shippensburg University, a position from which she retired from. She was a former member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren and a current member of the First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg. Nancy was a longtime member of the Shippensburg Historical Society and liked to deal in antiques, especially glassware and dishes.
She is survived by one daughter, Shelby A. Hoetzel of Colorado Springs, CO; her granddaughter, Keron E. Hoetzel of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and companion, Nancy was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Reed, who died in 1962, and her sister, Margaret Eschenman.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
