Nancy Louise Cramer, 87, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Monday, September 25, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on November 17, 1935 in Cleversburg, a daughter of the late C. Elizabeth (Burns) Farner. Nancy married Lee E. Cramer on October 21, 1954.
Nancy was a 1953 graduate of Shippensburg High School. She worked in food service as a cafeteria worker for the Shippensburg Area School District and Shippensburg University, where she fed thousands of students over several decades. She was a faithful member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and their Ever Ready Sunday School Class.
Throughout her life, she was an avid supporter of all Shippensburg athletics, supporting her own family, friends, and her many “adopted” student athletes. Most importantly, she loved spending time with and taking care of her family and her beloved cats. Nancy enjoyed going to dinners at Diffy’s with her friends and family. She also found great pleasure in lighthouses and angels and was quite proud of her collection of figurines of each.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lee E. Cramer of Shippensburg; two children, Nancylee (Cramer) Marks and husband Chris of Catasauqua and Chuck Cramer and wife Becky of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Brandi Delgado and fiancé Josh Messinger of Palmerton, Ashley Harding and husband David of Catasauqua, Jeremy Ocker of Palmerton, Christian Marks of Northampton, Jacob Lee Cramer of Shippensburg, and Sara Cramer of Shippensburg; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda K. Holtry of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews.
