Nancy J. Corle, 74, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Monday, January 29, 2018, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on December 22, 1943, in York, a daughter of the late Robert and Luella Stare Updegraff and married Rolla L. Corle on December 27, 1964. He preceded her in death just six months ago, on August 24, 2017.
Nancy was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for twenty-four years, retiring in 1984. In her free time she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, crafts and needlework, and going to craft shows. Nancy really loved her dog, Wishbone.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy S. (Chris) Covert of Orbisonia and Connie S. (Wayne) Shaneberger of Nazareth; one son, Lonnie R. Corle of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, David A. and Noah J. Corle and Haley B. and Dylan W. Shaneberger; one sister, Mary Noll of York; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be a celebration of her life, a gathering of family and friends, planned for some time in the near future.
