Miriam G. Mitten, 84, of Walnut Bottom, died on Friday, April 29, 2011, at her home.
Born on August 15, 1926, in Walnut Bottom, a daughter of the late Clair and Fannie Seavers Goodhart. She was a 1944 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School.
Miriam married Mr. Paul R. Mitten on September 15, 1946, in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2006.
She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Walnut Bottom.
Miriam is survived by her son, Robert A. Mitten of Shippensburg; one sister, Carolyn (Tom) Walker of Walnut Bottom; and one brother, Jack (Judy) Wyrick of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will be in the Rehoboth Cemetery, Walnut Bottom. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
