Mildred J. Weller, 82, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on February 17, 1935, in Cleversburg, a daughter of the late William H. and Nellie F. Helm Lynch.
Mildred retired from the Beistle Company, after twenty-five years of employment, and then worked part-time at Uni-Mart for seventeen years.
She was a former member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168 and Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, both of Shippensburg. In her leisure time Mildred enjoyed playing BINGO, card games, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and cooking.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly A. Lynch and Carolyn J. (Leonard) Willis, both of Shippensburg; granddaughter, Lori A. (Nathan) Herman of Dillsburg; grandson, Lenny Eugene (Jessica) Willis of Freeport, IL; three great granddaughters, Noelle Herman, Mia Willis, and Livia Willis; sister, Nancy Hippensteel; brother, Gerald Lynch; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by two sisters, Zola Heckman and Zelda Atkins; four brothers, Roy, James, Kenneth, and Ronnie Lynch; and two infant siblings.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Cleversburg Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
