Mildred P. Koontz, 82, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 27, 1932 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Lula Bowers Butts.
Mid was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, where she was an executive secretary at DESCOM.
She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed gardening and travelling.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar J. Koontz, Jr., three sons, Oscar J. Koontz III and David M. Koontz, both of Shippensburg, and Troy A. Koontz, of Westminster, MD, two daughters, Rebecca L. Ross, of Shippensburg and Cheryl S. Rine, of Orrstown, one brother, Richard L. Butts, of Newville, nine grandchildren, Jeremy Kelso, Samantha Mowery, Brian Smith, David Koontz, Jr., Stephanie Koontz, Megan Koontz, Justin Hoover, Jarret Rine, and Mitchell Rine, and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Harold E. Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
