Mildred Homan

Mildred V. Homan, 93, of Newville, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at her home.

She was born on January 19, 1920, in Staunton, VA, the daughter of the late Ernest and Fannie Cullen Wright.

Mildred was a homemaker throughout her life and was a member of the Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church.

She is survived by three sons, Mark H. (Sylvia) Homan of Demopolis, AL, John W. (Kathy) Homan of Carlisle, and Amos W. Homan of Carlisle; her daughter, Ruby M. Homan of Newville; seven grandchildren, Leah (Ken) Harrison of NC, Josh Homan of Newville, Aaron (Joelle) Homan of Carlisle, Tiffany Homan of NY, Mark R. (Leslie) Homan of LA, Sheila Homan of AL, and Chrissy Barnhart of Harrisburg; eleven great grandchildren, Rochelle, Riley, Raven, Ruby G., Juan, Daniel, Haley, Hailey, Nevaeh, Bryson, and Noah;; two great great grandchildren, Ivy & Logan; and one brother, Ernest Wright of Richmond, VA.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Hansford H. Homan, who died on October 17, 2002, and one brother, Meridith Wright.

Her funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, September 16, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Donald R. Logan will officiate. Interment will take place on Tuesday morning, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hildebrand Mennonite Cemetery, Madrid, VA. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
